The guest house is situated within a level walking distance of Torquay's attractions which include the sea front, Riviera Centre, Abbey Gardens, Torre Abbey and both Torre and Torquay railway stations.

Torquay is an all year round resort with a wide appeal to all age groups and is an ideal base to explore the delights and enjoyment that the English Riviera has to offer.
Within a short travelling distance from the guest house you will find the neighbouring towns of Paignton, Brixham and Dartmouth, the market town of Newton Abbot and the panoramic beauty of Dartmoor.
For those wishing to include a shopping excursion during their stay, the Cathedral city of Exeter and the naval city of Plymouth are within easy travelling distance.
ACCESS STATEMENT
Introduction:
Kingsway Lodge offers guest accommodation in 5 rooms in a 2 storey building. The entrance is on the ground floor.
1 family room consisting of a double and single bed is situated on the ground floor for those not able to access the stairs- no stair lift or lift available.
The dining room is also situated on the ground floor.
Kingsway Lodge is not suitable for wheelchairs or for those with severe mobility problems.
Pre Arrival:
Two railway stations offer easy travelling to Kingsway Lodge. The Main Torquay station is situated at the bottom of Avenue Road while Torre Station is at the top and within walking distance of Kingsway Lodge. While the coach station is approximately 0.82 miles away. There are a number of taxi companies operating in the area. For more information please get in touch.
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities:
There is parking in front for 3 cars; this is tarmac. If more is required then there is free parking on road.
The front door is approached by 2 steps - assistance with luggage can be provided if required.
A complimentary tray of refreshments with home made cake will help you settle into your room.
Main Entrance:
There is no formal reception area, checking in is carried out in the hall. Front door and room keys are provide for ease of access at all time. Access to the first floor is via the stairs which are situated in the hall.
Public Areas:
The hall stairs and dining room are carpeted throughout.
To comply with Fire Regulations a wired L2 Fire Alarm system has been installed.
Bedrooms Ensuite, Private:
One family room is situated on ground floor with the remainder on the 1st floor. All are carpeted and are ensuite which comprises toilet, wash basin and electric shower. Ensuite floor is covered with lino.
The single room has a wash basin and its own private facilities consisting of wash basin and toilet. There is a bath with an electric shower over it. This has lino to the floor.
